Azura and Milwaukee tennis classic mosaic collaboration

Azura Assisted Living & Memory Care is the premier provider of assisted living and memory care with multiple locations throughout Wisconsin. From homelike settings to transformational programming, Azura provides a safe, secure and nurturing place for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Azura implemented the use of the Household Model, with the goal that residents feel comfortable and want to spend most of their time outside their apartment, and with our Azura family engaging in life and feeling like they are home.

Along with the Household Model, Azura Assisted Living and Memory Care’s MOSAIC (Memories, Opportunities, Social, Active, Intellectual, Creativity) philosophy is based on the exclusive training and engagement programming, which ensures that their team provides not just high-quality care, but exceptional personalized engagements with their residents. Azura initially connected with the Milwaukee Tennis Classic (MTC) through Azura’s MOSIAC Dreams Program, which works with local businesses to fulfill the dreams of their residents.

Azura and the Western Racquet Club (WRC) collaborated to provide a one-of-a-kind tennis experience for an Azura resident who was an avid tennis player. This included a private lesson with WRC General Manager and Head Professional Timon Corwin. The resident loved the experience of hitting dozens of tennis balls over the net and learning some new skills! Between Azura and WRC, a mutual collaboration of support for one another was formed.

Azura is all about family and the feeling of belonging. In 2023, Azura expanded its commitment to the MTC with both the tournament and community outreach. Parents and children from underserved areas in Milwaukee are participating in the “Azura Lunch at the Classic” which involves transportation in Azura buses to the MTC tournament sites for a unique family experience providing the MTC official program, watching the college men’s and women’s tennis matches, enjoying provided lunches, sporting an MTC t-shirt and meeting with the players and coaches.

Azura president, Jill Kreider, expressed continued support for these initiatives. “Azura, as a trusted community partner, supports its residents and their families with unique MOSAIC programs. Tennis provides an opportunity to enrich those programs in multiple ways. Azura is pleased to continue this support.”
