Wild Cards to ITA National Fall Championships, San Diego, CA
As an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Gold Level Event, the 2023 Milwaukee Tennis Classic men’s and women’s singles champions will receive wild cards to the ITA National Fall Championships on November 1-5, 2023 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California.
2023 Milwaukee Tennis Classic Details:
Main draw men’s and women’s singles (32) and doubles (16)
Player selection and seeding based on WTN ratings
Compass draw with three guaranteed singles matches
Housing provided for all players
Men’s location: Milwaukee Country Club, 8000 North Range Line Road, River Hills, WI
Men’s additional location: Wisconsin Club, 6200 West Good Hope Road, Milwaukee, WI
Women’s location: Western Racquet Club, 1800 Highland Drive, Elm Grove, WI
All finals venue: Western Racquet Club, 1800 Highland Drive, Elm Grove, WI
Scoring (weather permitting):
Main draw singles: 2/3 sets, no-ad scoring, new balls every set
Consolation singles: 2 sets, 10-point tie-breaker in lieu of third set with new balls each set but not for tie-breaker
All doubles: 8 game pro set, tie-breaker at 8-all, no-ad scoring, single elimination
MTC venues are accessible in person or with live scoring of matches with Tennis Ticker.

Selection Criteria
- Application window is now closed
- MTC will include a Men’s and Women’s 32 Singles Draws & 16 Doubles Draws
- Singles Champions earn ITA Wildcard into Fall Nationals
- Max of 2 players accepted from a respective team
- MTC awards 6 Wildcards; meaning 26 spots are available via application
- 2 spots awarded to US Naval Academy, Marquette University and University of Wisconsin for both men’s and women’s draws
- Selections will be determined by UTR on August 22nd
- Seeding will be determined by ITA pre-season rankings and thereafter UTR.
